See where your money goes
Move between Active, Summary and Deleted in History. Review monthly category totals, sort categories, edit expenses, restore deleted records or remove them permanently.
Plan ahead
Use Calendar to record planned expenses and mark them as spent when they happen. Future-planning options depend on your plan; JOTTA Pro adds advanced planning capabilities.
Budget your way
Monthly Budget Amount is optional; you do not need to enter a salary or monthly income. Use 50/30/20 and category limits, or hide budget details when you prefer. These are personal planning tools, not financial advice.
Shared spending, without the mess
Organize home, trips, couples, friends and events in Spaces. Basic shared-expense records stay organized on your device; Spaces do not provide live synchronization between participants or transfer money. Pro adds advanced group tools.
Multiple currencies
Keep each expense’s original currency and choose a Home Currency. Exchange-rate conversion is available when supported rates can be retrieved. Rates may be delayed or unavailable and may differ from bank or card settlement rates.
Your JOTTA
Choose JOTTA Original or JOTTA Light, change the app icon and create custom categories. The app supports English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Arabic.
Local-first by design
No JOTTA account or sign-in is required. Expense and budgeting records are primarily stored locally. Apple and RevenueCat validate purchases, and exchange-rate requests can use an external service. The Privacy Policy explains these data flows.
Fast access
Keep Quick Add close with a Home Screen widget. Use Fast Jot through Apple’s Shortcuts app; available widget actions depend on your iOS version.
More room with JOTTA Pro
Start with JOTTA Free. JOTTA Pro Monthly and Yearly are subscriptions; JOTTA Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase. JOTTA Pro adds unlimited Spaces, choosing who paid and who participates, fair equal splits, group balances and full or partial settlement tracking. Advanced budgeting includes Custom Plan, unlimited category limits and planned-spending projections. Settlements are records of payments you arrange separately; JOTTA does not move money.
